Platform Integrity Policy

Combines performance, security, privacy, lifecycle, and data sovereignty into one operating commitment.

Platform Integrity is the operating spine of Map.ca. It combines performance, security, privacy, lifecycle, and data sovereignty into one commitment that is treated as central to the company — not as a compliance appendix. The business plan already treats it this way, and this policy is its formal articulation.

It applies to every engineering, security, privacy, and operations decision at Map.ca, and to every vendor that processes Map.ca data. The downstream policies on security, retention, residency, and incident response inherit from this one.

Requirements

  • Treat performance, security, privacy, lifecycle, and data sovereignty as one integrated commitment.
  • Reference Platform Integrity explicitly in product reviews.

Prohibitions

  • Do not treat Platform Integrity as a compliance afterthought.
  • Do not let one pillar (e.g., performance) override another (e.g., privacy) without explicit policy authority.
